On our own again we headed North. In the first bigger town after the state border Nevada/Utah we decided to wait out the weekend before we start our national park marathon through Utah. The town was called St. George and had something typical that every big town in Utah has – a Mormon temple. A good Mormon is supposed to give as much Money as he can to the church – best is around 10% of the income. When you see how neat the temple area is than I would say a lot of them give 10%. Our church tax is nothing compared to that. And they are also going to missions to bring their faith to the rest of the world. Some may have seen these guys in Europe with their black trousers, white shirts with a tie and with a black name tag thats say “brother XY”.
